Top O' the Morning to Ya: Berry Sweet Smoothie

Smoothies are such a great way to start your day, satisfy a sweet tooth, and follow up your workouts.  They don't overwhelm your digestion, they are sweet and delicious like a dessert, and they are packed with nutrients.  To get a free copy of my superfood smoothie ebook with tasty smoothies make sure to go to bebeaming.com and sign up on the website.  Here's what you'll need for this smoothie:

this one was made with raspberries, but i prefer using strawberries

1/3 cup coconut water (optional)
2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk (packaged or make your own here) *or one full cup if you are not using coco water
2-3 ice cubes
1/2 a small frozen banana (add more to make it thicker and more banana-y)
solid sized handful of your favorite seasonal berries (freeze your fruit to make your smoothie thicker and chillier.  If using frozen you may not need ice cubes, but may need a slight bit more liquid.)
half a Tbsp of Chia seeds made into a gel by adding them to a bowl with 3 Tbsp of water (let set a couple minutes to thicken then add to blender)
optional 1-2 Tbsp protein powder (Vega plain or Vega berry flavor is good in this)
and 1 heaping Tbsp of coconut flakes or coconut butter

blend it up and drink it down.
