How I Roll On Sundays

In this new series, "How I Roll On Sundays", once a month I'll walk you through a day of my life, including what i eat.  In the past i had never subscribed to requests i'd gotten for this because i believe we all have different dietary needs, and i don't want anyone to think that they should eat the way i eat.  I eat how i eat because it makes me feel good.  That said, like everyone else, i'm only human and do succumb to the occasional weekend margarita or glass or 2 of vino, bowl of chips and salsa, sushi extravaganza, or other indulgences as i'm sure you're likely to witness.  I do encourage everyone to eat a whole foods plant based diet (that doesn't mean vegan or vegetarian, it just means that the majority of what you eat comes from the earth).  I also don't claim to be vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or otherwise (perhaps i'll say flexitarian). While meat is not a daily food for ME, i do sometimes enjoy it in moderation.  I'm a firm believer in doing what makes you feel best, and that which provides you with the best energy, mood, vibration, and digestion.

HOW I ROLL ON SUNDAYS..............
(truth be told this was how i rolled on saturday, but 'how i roll on sundays' sounded better :)

I woke up around 6:30am and started my morning with one of these

it helps to pre-press a pitcher of green juice.  If it's in the fridge already made you're so much more likely to drink it!

Did an hour of this

Rehydrated with another ONE of these

Enjoyed a chilly superfood green smoothie on what is most likely the hottest day of the year

water from coconut, 3 spoonfuls coco meat, 1/6 of a ripe avocado (a couple Tbsp), 3 giant fistfuls of power greens (mixed chard, kale, spinach), handful of cilantro, 1 stalk of celery, and 2 ice cubes.

Cycled down to the beach

and sipped on lots of this

then ate the contents

Listened to records in our treehouse

Ate a Giant one of these

without the cheese (spinach, nectarine, avocado, green onion,  tomato, orange stevia, rice vinegar, s/pepper)
And another one about 3 hours later (with strawberries instead of nectarine this time)

also had a couple of dates smeared with sunflower seed butter.  mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

and enjoyed the evening on our patio with one of these

vanilla-mint mokjito
It was a hot summer day & night and I'm back to my clean eating ways.  Thankful to be back on track after many summer vacations, visits, and indulgences.
