Eating With Go Raw, Day 8: Plus Recipes for a Protein Green Smoothie & Grilled Talapia


Last night's glass of wine turned into 2... into 3....into...

Needless to say this morning i felt quite a bit less vibrant than i have the past seven days.  I don't know why i never learn my lesson.  It always seems like such a novel idea in the moment.  

Today was the first day on my modified 'small meal pack'.  This is a much better size for me.  I'm now using the Go Raw meal plan as an adjunct to my diet.  I'm adding in more protein food, cutting back on the nuts, and eliminating most of the in-between meal snacking.  I was eating way too much, and i feel like i may have gained a little weight because of that.

Day 8 Notes & Noshes:


The Small Meal Pack typically contains: 1 salad, 1 raw entree, 1 smoothie/juice/or blended drink, 1 snack, 1 dessert (square of raw chocolate), 1 fruit bowl, and 1 mini Go Raw bar.  I've asked for my daily entree to be a second salad, so i'll always get 2 salads in my pack this week.


8:30am Protein Green Smoothie.  1 1/4 cup Almond Milk from Go Raw Life Center blended with 1/2 a banana, a tbsp of chia, spinach, 1 packet of Vega Vanilla Chai Protein, 1 tsp of vita-mineral greens, and ice.
11:30am mini Live Pumpkin (seed) Bar

2pm Salad of greens, red pepper, tomatoes, cukes, and fennel with a caesar-esque vinaigrette,
2 oz grilled salmon (unpictured) and the flax snax pictured below.

7pm Spinach Salad with strawberries, blueberries, and a citrus vinaigrette.  I took all of the almonds off and ate the salad with a piece of the talapia pictured below.

Heat the grill to 350.  Use coconut oil spray on the pan as well as both sides of the fish.  Squeeze on a little lemon and grill fish on both sides leaving the lemon on top (respray the fish with coconut oil before flipping).  This fish cooks very quickly.  Serve with the grilled lemon.


The only thing i did not eat from the meal pack today was the Watermelon.  
I ate half the chocolate after lunch, and half after dinner.
