Go Raw Cleanse, Day 6 & Green Smoothie Recipe

Today was the last day scheduled on my Go Raw Foods Cleanse, however, i'm loving the food and service so much and feeling so good i decided to extend it another SIX days! Woohooo! That said, i going to forego the word 'cleanse' which i feel is very limiting & confining, and loosen the reigns a bit on my 'program'.

Some highlights i've enjoyed from this program the past 6 days:

  • lost weight easily & am not carrying any water weight/bloating
  • plenty of energy
  • joints feel supple/feeling very light & flexible in my yoga practice.
  • realigned me with my better habits effortlessly
  • delicious freshly prepared raw, healing food (no preservatives or additives)
  • fresh pressed juice or smoothie daily
  • portion control
  • lack of cravings or deprivation & allowance of dessert (raw chocolate/raw super cookies)
This weekend was a true testament to me of the power of this program.  We hosted two of our dearest friends and i was able to galavant around town with them bar to bar, eatery to eatery, and not once did i feel the need to get off my plan.  I always made sure i had a mini go raw bar or super cookies with me and food in the cooler in my car when i was working.  Honestly, nothing was all that tempting.  I've been feeling good, nourished, and excited for the delicious foods in my pack.

Here's Day 6 Noshes & Notes:

Day 6 full meal pack had two salads, 2 fruit bowls, a tex mex bowl, flax crackers and salsa, a green smoothie,
raw chocolate, and a mini go raw bar (not pictured)

7:30am Green Smoothie:  1 1/4 cups of fresh pressed apple juice, 1 ripe banana, 2 handfuls of spinach,  ice cubes.

8am: 1/3 cup Go Raw Apple Cinnamon Granola, Sprouted almond milk, Chia, and 1/2 a banana
(this meal i added in / not in my meal pack however the granola is from Go Raw
and can be purchased at the life center)

11am Midmorning Snack: Grapes, plums & blueberries (left over from my pack the other day),
and a mini Go Raw Live Pumpkin Bar

3:30 Lunch:  Tex Mex Bowl with cauliflower rice, spiced walnut meat,
guacamole, romaine, and tomatoes with a chipotle mayo and a salad of butter lettuce, romaine, broccoli, cherry tomato, pickling cukes, snow peas, red bell pepper, and sweet basil dressing.  PLUS my raw chocolate.  :)

6:30pm noshed on these flax chips and salsa just before my dinner salad

7pm Killer DELICIOUS "Sunny Salad": butternut squash, carrots, tomatoes, greens,
marinated pumpkin seeds, and a raw thousand island dressing.

Dessert:  Super Cookies.  I wasn't the only one super into them.

I also took a yoga class and worked out with my personal trainer, LisaFit.  I had plenty of energy to do both (outside the 3 yoga classes i taught today).  I hadn't done my regular bootcamp, yoga, or other workouts since Thursday since i was spending time with our house guests, but it was great to see that even with strong workouts i'm feeling fully energized. Stay tuned to see how my recovery is tomorrow and any modifications i include this week on the meal plan.
